The Making of the Story... in Pictures
People called me butterfly for jumping between lifestyles, countries...
Bedtime is magical for both parents & children. I had a dream: to make a sweet bedtime experience for both parents and children
My only painting experience prior to the book :)
This is at the botanical garden in Montreal
Friends jamming sessions inspired the spirit of Boji
(This flower appears in the book. Can you find it?)
The sun sculpture of Chihuly inspired Boji
& the world of children inspired me.
Initially Boji was a 7 stage story that builds up on levels of awareness. I realized later it suffocated the creative spirit, and lightened it down.
I sent this draft to friends in creative fields in the hope to find an illustrator for the final draft. They loved the illustrations and encouraged me to illustrate it myself. As a challenge, and to live one of the lessons in the book, I took the challenge..
Left the city life & all those nice dresses & heels
That was a transformative experience on many levels. Most importantly living in nature brought me closer to my own nature. Priceless experience
and experienced transformations and discoveries at very deep levels.

While on a month silence retreat, I met a caterpillar. A monarch caterpillar!
and fantasized that maybe the caterpillar actually knows me :)
The family that inspired and accompanied the making of Boji
At this moment, the book was mainly in my mind!
Oscar is fascinated with the world. "Whoa", the word Boji says the most, comes from him. "This is the coolest thing ever" also..
Now that I have a reading, I better finish. Targets help us focus like that.
